Writing
With over 10 different writing units per year, we introduce students to the exciting world of advanced, argumentative writing: Research Papers, Persuasive Essays, Debate, Literary Analysis, Personal Narratives, Contest Essays, Short Stories, Leadership Speeches and Journalism.
Reading
We challenge our students with a mix of classics and contemporary literature to ensure they are prepared for their rigorous English classes in high school and college. We teach advanced strategies for effective annotations, critical thinking, and literary analysis.
Grammar
Learning grammar is essential to being a good writer: it serves as the structural foundation that enables clear communication, ensuring precision in conveying ideas and enhancing the overall persuasiveness and effectiveness of written expression.
